A procedural modeling and animation project to build skills and develop workflow in SideFX Houdini. All moodboards, sketching, modeling, RnD, texturing, and animation were performed by me.
Visual inspiration was used to create sketches. Execution remained loose at first to allow for freedom of thought and expression.
Each step of the building process was mapped out ahead of the time to find the most efficient method of constructing the model.
Once the general concept was worked out on paper, rough mock ups were built and refined in Houdini.
Custom shaders and textures were used to maintain full control of visual style.
